HOMEMADE SOUP OF THE DAY
Served with crusty bread

MUSHROOM ROYALE
Local mushrooms pan fried in a rich tomato and basil
sauce, topped with mature cheese

CASTLE McLELLAN PATE
Locally made pate served with Scottish Oatcakes and butter

SMOKED SALMON
Locally cured smoked salmon with brown bread and butter

BRIE WEDGES
Deep fried and served with a sweet redcurrant sauce.

Main Courses

STEAK AND ALE PIE
Tender pieces of Galloway beef in a rich ale
sauce, topped with flaky puff pastry

BACON CHOP
A double boneless bacon chop (170-180gm/6-7ozs).
Served on creamy, wholegrain mustard potato mash

COTTAGE PIE

Minced beef and vegetables in a rich gravy
topped with potatoes and cheese

GALLOWAY SAUSAGES

A sausage trio (including local venison) served on top
of a creamy wholegrain mustard potato mash and gravy

LAMB SHANK

Cooked slowly and served with a
delicious mint/redcurrant gravy

DEEP FRIED HADDOCK

Fresh fillet, coated in our own beer batter. Deep
fried and served with your choice of potatoes

WHOLETAIL SCAMPI

Deep fried and served with tartare sauce and your
choice of potatoes

TUNA STEAK

A 200gm/6-8oz tuna steak drizzled with basil oil,
char-grilled and served on creamy parmesan potato mash

POACHED SALMON

Fresh salmon fillet poached with lemon and accompanied
with Hollandaise sauce if you wish (optional)

QUEENIE SCALLOPS

Either pan fried in lemon and parsley or flamed in
Pernod and bound in a creamy sauce (WHEN AVAILABLE)

SIRLOIN STEAK – 10oz
FILLET STEAK – 8oz
Steaks are garnished with mushrooms, homemade
onion rings and grilled tomatoes
